Flying Fish – Little Rock, AR

Well this is actually in the “River Market” about 3 miles south of I-40 off the I-30 in downtown Little Rock near on the river by the Clinton Library and Presidential Center.    511 President Clinton Ave.  But it is worth the drive if you stopping on your way through Arkansas.  It has a nice little pedestrian area with lots of restaurants, bars, and shops.  Even some park benches, monuments, and scenic views.

In  the Flying Fish on a Wednesday night in July there were 20 people waiting in line to order, due to the special “All you can eat catfish $15.99”.   People order at counter, then they call you to pick up your order.  “Counter service”.  I got the grilled Grouper – it was 1/2” thick filet lightly seasoned with 2 really tasty sides: grilled zucchini & yellow squash, AND red beans & rice. Serve yourself area had tartar sauce, lemons, onions & hot sauces.   This meal was only $11.49!!!!  It was not over cooked either it was just right.I am sure consistency is a challenge with a place like this, but overall it is a good value.  They serve Margaritas, beer and wine.

On the wall there are pictures guests have donated that range from amazing, stupid, and humorous of people and their fishing experiences and catches. Oh Year, as well as one wall of singing faux mounted bass ‘art’ pieces.
